Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide individuals who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance to pay for their care, with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of healthcare services upon request or when services are scheduled.

If you are receiving services from Transcmend and are uninsured or choosing not to use your health insurance, you have the right to receive a written estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.

What Your Estimate Includes

Your Good Faith Estimate will include the expected charges for services that are reasonably anticipated as part of your care with Transcmend.

The frequency and duration of therapy vary depending on each client's individual needs, preferences, and treatment goals. Because of this, it may not always be possible to determine in advance exactly how many sessions you will attend. Your estimate will be based on the information reasonably available at the time it is prepared.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive the services listed in the estimate.

Your Right to an Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before receiving care if you are uninsured or are choosing not to use insurance for your services.

You may also request a Good Faith Estimate from Transcmend before scheduling a service.

If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected

If you receive a bill from a provider or facility that is at least $400 more than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Please keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate and any bills or statements you receive.
